Scooby Doo! Pirates Ahoy! is regarded as one of (if not the) best direct-to-video made. With crisp animation, it captures the magic of Scooby Doo, Where are You! complete with a backstory, conspiracies, and a twist. Paying homage to classic episodes, it makes use of hypnotism and steers clear of the supernatural. Although, the ending with the storm and whirlpool was very mysterious.
