Final thoughts

Historically, “Specter” was the debut episode of The Scooby Doo Show airing September 11, 1976.  However, modern packaging bundled episodes from 1978 starting with “Watch Out! The Willawaw!” as Scooby Doo, Where are You! third season.  Obvious retitling didn’t deter the publishers from packaging the original air dates out of sequence.

“High Rise Hair Raiser” has always been one of many favorite villains from the series.  The gang is vulnerable out in the open with little places to hide.  The Specter shows rare determination following and harassing the teens far from its place of haunting and not afraid of stunts.

Next episode: The Fiesta Host is an Aztec Ghost
