Disguised as a gas station attendant, comedian Jonathan Winters persuades Mystery Inc to give him a ride and provide free farm-labor for a number of days. Unfortunately, the place his overrun by hipsters and come-to-life scarecrows. From The New Scooby Doo Movies, “The Frickert Fracas”.

You have to be a true Jonathan Winters fan to enjoy this. At first viewing, nothing really happens in The Frickert Fracas. There’s no villain technology or conspiracy. However, if you look deep enough you see references that apply today. Whether its hipsters with poor social skills or the unspoken consequences of GMO, Scooby Doo is speaking to the future in unexpected ways.
